Each team will play another team of 3 in 1-on-1 half court games. Review forehand, backhand, serve, then get into partners and hit over net Have students review the grip and the three tips for doing the forehand Every 3 minutes players will change courts so everyone has a chance to play different people Students will hit with a partner using only forehand shots Second/third time through students keep track of how many they landed in the hoops The goal is for the hitter to hit 10 birdies putting as many as possible into either of the hoops. The tosser with toss the birdie over the net, the hitter will make a forehand shot, aiming for one of the hoops on the ground, the retriever will gather the birdies back to the feeder Students will be in groups of 3, one is the hitter, one the tosser and one with retriever. Students get into partners, one will watch the other perform their forehand swing and will point out their strengths and weaknesses to them As a class step students through the forehand shot, using command style - Tips for the Forehand shot Students will find a space in the gym and hit the birdie up to themselves in order to get the feel of the racket and birdie Walk students through the grip of the racket Students have to work with their partner to get in to as many different squares in the set amount of time. Students well have to throw their birdie to their partner who is in a different square. Have students find a partner, get a birdie between two and place themselves in one of the laid out squares. Gather students and show them how to properly set up the nets.
